Michael Wert is a Senior Analyst at Longitude Capital. He supports investments in both biotechnology and medical devices.
Prior to joining Longitude Capital in 2008, Mr. Wert was a Senior Analyst in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch. He has conducted basic science research in intercellular signaling in Dictyostelium discoideum and in the study of density function theory in optical transitions in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.
Mr. Wert is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and holds a B.A. (magna cum laude) in biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology and in economics with honors from Whitman College.
