Doug Foster is a founder and Principal of Longitude Capital. He focuses on investments in both private and public medical device companies for the fund.
From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Foster was a Vice President of Pequot Ventures where he worked in the life sciences practice. Prior to Pequot Ventures, he worked for Pequot Capital Management's Scout Fund, where he managed publicly-traded equity investments across all sectors of the life sciences industry. Mr. Foster has also worked at Novo Nordisk, a pharmaceutical company specializing in treatments of metabolic disorders, including diabetes. He began his life sciences industry career as an Equity Research Associate at Robertson, Stephens & Company in San Francisco.
He is actively involved with AcuFocus, Facet Solutions, PixelOptics, AqueSys and select investments in public companies.
Mr. Foster holds an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a B.A. from Yale University.
