Doug Foster is a founder and Principal of Longitude Capital. He focuses on investments in medical devices.

From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Foster was a Vice President of Pequot Ventures where he worked in the life sciences practice. Prior to Pequot Ventures, he worked for Pequot Capital Management's Scout Fund, where he managed publicly-traded equity investments across all sectors of the life sciences industry. At the time, Mr. Foster was the youngest analyst to be awarded a solely-managed, carve-out portfolio of the fund. Mr. Foster has also worked at Novo Nordisk, a pharmaceutical company specializing in treatments of metabolic disorders, including diabetes. He began his life sciences industry career as an Equity Research Associate at Robertson, Stephens & Company in San Francisco.

He is actively involved with AcuFocus, Facet Solutions and PixelOptics.

Mr. Foster holds an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a B.A. from Yale University.
